Business innovation and services
In partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, we opened the Siskiyou Small Business Development Center in 2016. The Siskiyou center offers 1:1 professional business counseling, business training, and development resources to our small businesses. Today the center, and our business innovation programs, serve 150 business clients annually.
economic resilency and stability
Our work with the US EPA Brownfields program helps us support environmental assessment and cleanup of former mill sites, preparing them for industrial/commercial redevelopment. The result of this work is cleaner, safer, healthier cities, and new business and development. Since 2011, we have leveraged $40 million in private investment to support assessment, cleanup, and reinvestment in brownfield properties located in Siskiyou County.
