RERC Planning and Workshop Results Are Available

The Siskiyou EDC assisted the City of Yreka with the preparation and planning of a two-day Recreation Economies for Rural Communities (RERC) workshop on June 23rd and 24th. The planning and workshop focused on Outdoor Recreation opportunities with potential to contribute to the livelihood of Yreka’s economy, including support of small businesses, tourism and workforce attraction.

Siskiyou Climate Collaborative Program Awarded $1.5 Million from California Strategic Growth Council

The Siskiyou Climate Collaborative Program will receive $1.5 million to aid in the development and implementation of a Climate Resiliency Plan in Siskiyou County. Each partner in the Collaborative, along with other stakeholders and community members, will play a vital role in building the Climate Resiliency Plan and help create informed strategies around the climate challenges affecting Siskiyou County.

Siskiyou EDC Launches 'Accelerate California' Innovation Program

The California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) recently announced the Siskiyou EDC as one of ten grant recipients for the Inclusive Innovation Hub (iHub2) program. The Siskiyou Center will provide agriculture, outdoor tourism and renewable energy businesses with new and expanded access to programs, expertise, research, and innovation.
