Celebrating 40 Years at the Landing
Wednesday, July 10, 2024
The cleanup work on Landing is complete, marking a major milestone in the Landing's next use.
Decades in the Making:
The the Landing and the future reuse of its historic log pond and have been a focus of the City of Mt. Shasta for 40 years. As a heritage lumber mill property, the City has worked with the Siskiyou EDC, US EPA Brownfields and Geocon, to assess and clean up hazardous materials on the site for the last twenty years.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone and envisioning the future use of the North site-- an area that served as the former log pond for the Roseburg Mill. Join us for an evening of refreshments, keynote speakers, and celebration in Mt. Shasta, at the Landing, hosted by the Siskiyou Economic Development Council.
