Weed

The small town of Weed, CA is located at the base of Mt. Shasta with natural striking beauty that surrounds town in all directions.  We are nestled in the mountains of Northern California, just south of the Oregon border and located just about half way between Portland and San Fransisco at the junction of Interstate 5 and Highway 97. You’ll enjoy beautiful forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife, scenic drives, live music, local art, and a friendly community anytime of the year.  Weed is officially recognized as part of the Volcanic Scenic Byway, a 500 mile route beginning in California's Lake Amador basin and ending at Crater Lake in Oregon. The route traverses extraordinary scenery and geologic phenomena and links the four notable volcanoes in this part of the continent.

A historic lumber town, Weed is still home to Roseburg Forest Products and is home to one of the North State's top community colleges, College of the Siskiyous.  The City of Weed is ready to help you with your business needs and the Visitor Center promises to make your stay memorable.
