Welcome to one of the only FDA certified shared use commercial kitchen facilities in true Northern California. Our goal is support food-based businesses and inspire the aspiring food entrepreneur to start a business.
The Siskiyou Harvest Food Center is dedicated to assisting food-based entrepreneurs succeed in the food industry. Siskiyou Harvest Food Center offers a variety of programs including: business consulting, product design, recipe and label development, marketing and promotional support. All of the programs and classes offered by the Siskiyou Harvest Food Center are available at low or no-cost to income qualified individuals.
The Siskiyou County Economic Development Council assumed responsibility of the kitchen facility and Siskiyou Harvest program in 2008. Ripe From The Farm, Two Sisters, Apples of Gold, Cal-Stevia, Bianca's Gourmet, Dave's Shake it Up and Generation Gardens are just a few of the locally made products and businesses that have grown through the Siskiyou Harvest program.
Siskiyou Harvest actively promotes our communities' Farmers Markets and is available to assist local producers in developing a marketing plan. Siskiyou Harvest's goal is to promote and support local food producers and to grow a regional identity through our food system.
